Omar Al Dakheel is a Kuwaiti-born filmmaker with an MFA in TV and Film Production from USC. He directed "Jihad in Hollywood," featuring Werner Herzog, for Al Jazeera, and "al imam," a documentary about one of the world’s few female imams, which aired on National Geographic and PBS. His short film "Ablution" screened at over 60 film festivals and qualified for a BAFTA.
He was Associate Producer on season 1 and Co-Producer on season 3 of the Emmy Award winning Netflix docu-series "American Manhunt." Recently, he directed and produced "Everybody’s Watching," a collaboration with Hulu and Field of Vision, now streaming on The Criterion Channel. Based in Los Angeles, Omar aims to tell diverse stories with universal values that bridge East and West.
