Omar Al Dakheel is a Kuwaiti-born filmmaker based in Los Angeles, with an MFA from USC.
His work centers on intimate, character-driven stories exploring identity, faith, and belonging. His directing credits include al imam (National Geographic, Vimeo Staff Pick), Everybody’s Watching (The Criterion Channel), and Ablution, which screened at over 60 festivals worldwide.
He is a Co-Producer on the Emmy Award–winning Netflix docu-series American Manhunt.
His debut feature script, The Washroom, is a 2025–2026 Academy Nicholl Fellow and Sundance Building Bridges Fellow.
